DIN 985 Nylon-Insert Lock Nut
Self-locking nut for vibrating connections.
In DIN 985 nuts the nylon ring wraps the bolt thread to create friction locking. Operating temperature is limited to −50 / +120 °C; for higher temperatures all-metal lock nuts (DIN 980) should be used.
